Are you afraid that I might kill you through ink on paper? That's the closest I'll get to killing someone...well, I like to fist fight friends when I'm drunk but it's all fun and games. Huge Grin

Is the second one a self-portrait? Either way, it's pretty. You are way better at shading then I am.

[EDIT] Damnit. I said 'petty'. I'm glad you figured out what I meant, lol.

Thanks for calling it petty. Haha jk I know what you meant. And yeah, it's a self portrait. Most of the chicks are me...except the one on the titanic [which is just a made-up character] and the one saying she's a dork [which is my sister haha, we actually get along...even though it looks like I'm going to kill her in the drawing].

I get the same thing XD Y'know, I draw a lot of gore and such (I even have a comic character who slaughters all who piss me off) and for some reason people assume that it alludes to some underlying psychosis and since I'm drawing it it's only a matter of time before I start killing people for real.

People seriously underestimate the power of laziness.

Anywho, your art reminds me of an art magazine my mother subscribed to when I was a little thing. It terrified me then, the art style was so odd. Not so much now. The third picture there is pretty damn scary, though. I also like the monsters, they look quite neat :3 The sixth picture there is neat too.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

Everyone used to say that my artwork reminded them of Jhonen Vasquez because he does the same thing...he uses a character to kill those that annoy him and then adds some random shit to it...take Johnny the Homicidal Maniac for example.
My drawings are a lot more extreme in situations than I would ever be, but that's what makes them more interesting. Seriously, who wants to see drawn characters bitching, pouting or complaining when they can be taking it out on someone physically? It shows the emotion, rather than just saying it.

I was actually going to say it reminded me a bit of JV's work but I didn't want to give the impression that it seemed like you were mimicking his art, like...sooo much artists do on the net. Just kind of...passing familiarity or so, but your style is your own and I greatly respect that.
Hm, guess that's not so offensive. I've had my art compared to other artist though, not in a 'you remind me of so and so' way but in a 'this is almost as good as random artist' way and ever since I've been weary of saying it to other people. Although it that case I suppose it only bothered me because it was some other random amature artist whose art borrowed way too much from Jhonen's style. Oh, I'm not bitter.

I went off on a tangent there XD Anywho, yeah, it is certainly more fun to have a bloody go at whoever is bothering you in the fantasyland of art. It's always been a great stress-reliever for me, I honestly can't understand why people would prefer others to draw shiny happy normal stuff when the possibilities of art are so endless.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I'm always amazed by people who can take something and draw it so well. I'm lucky if I can do a stick-figure.

I didn't know The Sam! was Johan Vasquez in disguise! O.o

I spelled His name wrong...but you did remind me to read Vicious Whispers http://www.heartshapedskull.com/vicious.22.IT.html which is done by an artist who worked on Zim.

:/ This is why I'm going into Architecture...I didn't want to get sued for having similar styles...or get our work mixed up and people mad at me. Maybe I'll continue to do small things like I did by illustrating for the Titanic Joke Book and designing tattoos for friends...

It was a joke, madame. Only an idiot would truely make that mistake, anyone who knows anything would notice a distinct difference. It's not bad to be inspired by a troo master.

The thing is, that's how I draw, I didn't get inspired by him, I was inspired by music, life, dreams and hallucinations.

Very good! I love it! I see a lot of different styles here - that third one is leaning a little towards the Picasso. The Christmas tree is great!!! I love the spider! Ok, well, Halloween is my favorite holiday, and it almost mixes Halloween in with Christmas.
