if you could fly any plane that you ever wanted what would it be?

mine would have to be a A-10 Thundernblot or a F-16 Fighting Falcon

F-22 Lightning or Rapier or whatever they nicknamed it now.

maximum takeoff weight:37,500 pounds
speed:1,500mph(mach 2)....sweet
thrust:27,000 pounds
range:2,425 miles (1,740 nautical miles)
crew:one(f-16c),one or two (f-160)
armament:one m-61a2 20mm multibarrel cannon with 500 rounds, external station can carry up to six air-to-air missiles, conventional air-to-air and air-to-surface muniton and electronic countermeasure pods.

I actually found out it is the F-22 Raptor. Anyway, you ask what plane would I want to fly... And the F-22 is it due to the fact that it has thrust vectoring and stealth.

Weapons are useless in pure flying.

true, true stealth is importent to but i guess i just like the thought of doing a dog fight. now of days if you were in a dog fight you would be a few miles away.

A 747 would be a pain in the ass to fly. I for one wouldn't want to fly something that big... unless it was a spaceship.

The F-14 Tomcat, with all it's somewhat obselete but typically prefered navigation system and silly amounts of top speed.

Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today?
Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection.
Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!

There is abolutely nothing on this planet that screams more bad-a$$ than the F-117A Nighthawk. It is just beautiful and it has stealth capability and it's black. Need I say more?

Yeah, any plane would do regardless. Will Smith in the movie has no problem destroying a plane to destroy one alien plane (which barely got damaged mind you). That's a real efficient use of resources.
