Could you possibly understand the effects of domesticated plants and animals in the fertile crescent in pre-history? Do you understand why some species of plants are easier to domesticate rather than others? It has a little bit to do with self-germination as well as being an annual seed. That's besides the point though. Domestication of plants and animals allowed people to form little villages rather than live like nomads. Sedentary lifestyle allowed for people to produce excess amounts of food which in turn allowed societies to develop specialization. They also had a much larger carrying capacity, think about it. If you're constantly on the move you can only carry the bear minimum, that includes children. This means the settling down allowed populations to grow, so long as your agriculture could sustain it. Regardless, a settled village was certainly capable of supporting a much larger population than hunter-gatherers. Could this possibly be why Eurasia had their leg up on the table compared to the Native American's of North and South America? Oh! Wait! I bet you were already thinking of this, but the densely populated European cultures that began to flourish were sitting deathbeds. Microbes from animals mutated into diseases that could be transferred to humans. Then they mutated again once inside the humans to develop the ability to spread from human to human rather than just animal to human. Essentially we had bacteria that needed a host to live, but ended up killing off it's host. Those Europeans that migrated north were said to be "sanitized" because the microbes could not survive in the colder climates. That's not a proven fact though, but it certainly poses an interesting hypothesis. So back to the main point... Europeans made contact with America's circa 1492. When they get back to the New World over 90% of some of these tribes are found dead! What easy conquest. They wanted gold and cotton. Nothing was going to stop their powerful steel swords and horses. What about the little run in with Pizarro and the Aztecs though? Atthuallpa was backed by an army of over 80,000, and I'm supposed to believe they couldn't stop a few hundred Europeans? You're damn fucking straight they couldn't. The Aztec were a politically torn group at this time and morale was low. That, accompanied with Europe's cavalry and technologies was an unstoppable brute force. So what's the point, MAHAR? Who's the best? Why are they the best? What if we put African's in the fertile crescent? Would it have turned out the same? Is culture a loose factor that can be thrown away? Is history inevitable? Was is the geography, the axis orientation, the available plants and animals that made everything easier? You tell me, you ignorant, overzealous fuck. You know what.
