While it is true that we are screwing our environment, there are many other factors. One is that the changing of crops to other uses (ethanol which is causing the US to have a tough time since we refuse to use something better than corn). What's that? Ohh, we're all dead in 2012 anyway, right?

The price of beer is likely to rise in coming decades because climate change will hamper the production of a key grain needed for the brew - especially in Australia, a scientist warned Tuesday. Jim Salinger, a climate scientist at New Zealand's National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, said climate change likely will cause a decline in the production of malting barley in parts of New Zealand and Australia. Malting barley is a key ingredient of beer.

Beer? Global warming and beer? That's the best people could worry about. We're either going to drown, burn or freeze to death and people are worried about the price of beer i mean my sympathy to the malting barley but come on. That climate scientist is either drunk or looking for free booze to be talking about expensive beer. btw I'm ranting but is this even real cause I'm supposed to be graduating in 2011 and begin my quest for world domination which i can't do in one year geez i need a beer.

people can live without beer. actually, the world would be better off without it. the other night my dad and i were in the car going home from the grocery store when a drunk driver pulled out in front of us. he almost took out a few signs and mailboxes and another car. my dad, being the obsesive cop he is, decided to follow him. my dad was off duty so he called up one of his cop friends. when they arrested the guy they found an open can of beer in his cup holder, as well as empty cans. now i'm stuck going to court as a witness for this little incident. =.=
if there wasn't any beer in the world there would definitly be less drunk drivers, and less accidents.

Beer was very beneficial to the world in the past. It had to be boiled which killed germs. Many people would drink beer instead of regular water since it was though that beer had beneficial qualities... It was the fact it was boiled.
