What was your favorite Atari game? Old Tue Apr 24, 2007 10:44:13 AM #37294 Perm Link
Are any of you old enough to remember the old Ataris? If so, what were your favorite games? I used to play space invaders until my fingers were numb, and then there was another one, can't remember the title, but you were supposed to help the main character find treasure by jumping him over crocodile heads, swinging him on vines, etc. I think the main character's name was Harry, but I wouldn't bet on it. Anyway, those two were my favorites, though there were lots of others I loved as well.

My father got a little mad at us, because he bought an Atari game for us but didn't say anything and just left it there for us to discover. I saw it, but I was more interested in my social life, and my sister thought that maybe it wasn't for us... that thing spent like 6 months at home without anybody touching it! Then I left home and my sister used it. I think I played once, but I was not really interested on spending hours at home.

I had one and we played it all the time. I know what game you're talking about but for the life of me I cannot remember the name. Hopefully someone on here will because it's going to drive me nuts now. My all time favorite would have to have been space invaders and defender. It just came to me as I was typing I think the name of the game you're referring to might have been Pitfall?

I *LOVED* Space Invaders!!! It was one of my very favorites. Even though, I hated with those little rockets would start flying around and firing at me. ACKK!!! That is the main game that I remember playing. I think I played "Burger Time" on Atari, too. That was fun!!

PITFALL! That's it exactly. Thank you for thinking of that because it was driving me crazy trying to remember. Sometimes I see the old Atari games remodeled for PC play, but it's just not the same. It somehow lacks the whole Atari experience...

You're welcome. I was hoping that was it because I could see it driving me nuts trying to think of it.
