Intel on Vista chip

Intel announced no Vista geared chips until after SP1. Right now they feel it's a waste of time.

Lol, yes finally they realized that. After all I think I have to seriously now look what extra features does Vista have that demands so much of hardware.

Where did you read this? With no source, this news is nearly useless.

The only thing that Intel makes to be concerned with Vista is graphics. The CPU doesn't matter.

Thanks for the link. The interesting part is Otellini's comment and I Quote "I know of no organization doing an upgrade before SP1," said Otellini. "Intel isn't upgrading either (until SP1)." (Souce : already submitted by aquariancore).

It is now clear that everyone is looking for the Service Packs including Intel.

Is this really such a big surprise? Who would support a brand new OS which hasn't gone through it's first major revisions yet?

someone who assumes the OS to be reasonably flawless and final.

It just seems strange that they are not willing to go along with the changes. Nothing lasts very long anymore and most companies try to stay on top of things.
