I saw a poster for the movie Firehouse Dog yesterday. I know it's from the creators of the TV series Wonderfalls, which was quite different in a good way, but didn't find its audience, in my opinion.

I'm definitely planning to see the movie.

Oh, I loved Wonderfalls! Is Firehouse Dog by both Bryan Fuller and Tim Minear or just one of them?

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I saw a poster for that, too. I don't know what it's about, though.

I just went to the page for Firehouse Dog at imdb, and I can't find either of those names. Sorry, I don't know who worked on both shows.

I'm positive I heard that someone involved in both projects was strategically placing some recognizable items from Wonderfalls like the wax lion on the set of Firehouse Dog. Both were shot in Toronto, by the way.

I did some research and you were right. I guess there were three creators/executive producers of Wonderfalls and Todd Holland (the director of Firehouse Dog) simply got less mention because he wasn't as well known (the main creator and the fellow with the most writing credits was Bryan Fuller, who created Dead Like Me, a show that actually has a lot in common with Wonderfalls. The other guy was Tim Minear who was one of the people involved with Firefly). I guess I'll have to see Firehouse Dog, because I love those little inside references people do for the fans. And I loved Wonderfalls. I was dying to watch it from the commercials, I saw all 3 episodes FOX actually aired (even when they moved it from Friday to Thursday without telling anyone) and immediately purchased the DVD when they released it.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

Does anyone have a clue what this is about? I haven't seen any commercials for it, yet.

I've seen a very brief description of the movie. A Hollywood dog star called Rexxx (which was also the working title of the movie for a while) gets lost and winds up in a firehouse. He teams up with a kid and helps out there.

I'd like to hear more about the premise, too.

I saw the preview a while ago. It seems very Doc Hollywood/Cars-esque in that the hero realizes that they're not happy with a hollywood life - although if memory serves the dog wasn't happy to begin with (but my memory sucks). Anyway, I think the kid was lonely, maybe he had no parents or they were always away? And then he meets the dog and has a friend or something.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I think it's supposed to be a kids' film, isn't it? I saw a poster for it at the mall the other day.
