I am highly frustrated as apparently we live waaay too far away from any real civilization (Not really, just Maine!) for us to get any significant bands near us. The last really cool show was this summer when Guster came to Portland. So I am looking to live vicariously through anyone else's concert experiences.

Sorry- what's Guster? Or am I in the Dark Ages? I miss Music Midtown here in Atlanta. I don't know why they stop all the cool stuff here. I am sure that brought in a lot of revenue for the city. I wonder why no-one protested them doing away with it. They protested more over doing away with Freaknik, and Freaknik was cool, but not have as good as Music Midtown.

I live in LA so if I was a big concert person I could pretty much see anyone, since most bands eventually play near LA XD

Not much of a concert person, though. I am, however, going to a Morrissey concert this Saturday. He may not be your definition of interesting but he is one of my favorite artists XD

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I live in Chicago. I see everyone because everyone comes to Chicago. I love going to concerts. When I first started posting on this site, I lived in KS and while areas of KS have a really cool music scene, mostly geared toward indie rock and bastardizations of emo (The Get Up Kids went to my high school), the shows were few enough that I would jump on one rabidly. In Chicago, there are at least four shows going on every night.

The only thing that hinders my ability to go out every night to concerts is the money situation. It's a lot harder to find a job that I can get to fairly easily than you might think.

I used ot be WAYY into Good Charlotte (Like ... sixth grade?) because they lived around me, and my brother knew one of them personally. I went to a lot of their shows, but I mostly just go to local band shows now.

Yes!! Shakira was just here in Berlin. It was sold out, and it was a pretty good show. The only bad thing, it was snowing a lot the day of the concert, and people waiting outside the venue were a little angry. At least they didn't make them wait out for too long. It was totally worth it!! She is great, singing and dancing! And she has this carisma that really trascends the languages. She said very little words in German, but she spoke in English and it was fine. That was pretty good. Expensive, but good.

I used to live in Chicago, too, and I agree, everyone comes there. But Atlanta had lots of weekend festivals that I miss. Everyone used to be there. I have seen just about everyone I ever wanted to see there. They still come, but these are just individual concerts. I guess they're ok, but not the same.

We get some shows where I live, but not many. The main shows go to a city that is around 90 minutes away. The most interesting concert that we have coming up would have to be Nickelback. I would love to see Chris Daughtry, but I don't think he is coming anywhere near me at this point.

I used to go to concerts all the time. I live outside of Cleveland so we do get quite a bit of concerts. But I just don't have the money to go to them or I am working. The last one I did see was the Kiss Renioun Tour.

I live in Toronto, but I hear that The Police are rehearsing at a film studio in Vancouver. Anybody here from Vancouver? Burnaby?

Ah, definitely one I would love to go to. Morissey is one of those takes me back to when I was younger kinds of music. I get your point about not being much a concert goer too. I went to a Sarah MacLachlan concert about a year ago that was incredible in that she was great and the light effects were awesome, but the arena was much too crowded and a lot a people just weren't into the music. Makes it hard to be at a concert in those circumstances.

Yeah, a lot of concert goers are rude as all hell. The Morrissey concert was awesome, but the people weren't. They were shoving and smoking (in a small, enclosed space, no less) and it just made the concert that much less enjoyable. However, I'm a big Morrissey fan, I grew up on his music so it was still worth it and, on his end, everything was perfect XD But the people man...I thought Morrissey fans would be a wee bit better behaved than the giant stadium of Green Days fans from the concert I went to last year =\ Someone kept trying to steal my mother's purse...

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?
