so, this Windows chief character reckons his toy won\'t need antiviral programs. I bet it won't - until people start using it.

I'm sure it won't at first. Someone, will soon find a way to screw with it and chaos will ensue as it always does. Then people will buy anti-virus programs again. And then the circle will begin again.

Totally agree with Propellerhead. A security flaw will come out and totally trash Vista's 'security' to the point where everything needs to have third party protection.

I also agree. All it takes is a single large flaw.

well as the system grows more advanced so do the virus programs, there is no exception with vista.

It may not be AS susceptible to virus', but with any operating system, even OSX, it can be cracked.

A virus being able to access a OS comes with the territory and is expected really as people who visit warez and pron sites are not the brightest of the bunch when a pop asked them a question; they don't care about and click anything to close it.

You can try to stop an intrusion but it'll eventually get to you somehow.
