Death of a friend. Old Fri Oct 20, 2006 1:11:52 PM #25698 Perm Link
Caleb Hieatt died Sunday, October 15. v.v''
He actually was a pretty good friend. And it has a horrible affect, waking up knowing my friend is dead each day.
His mom was having roadrage with another vehicle. They weren't paying much attention as a bus drove in front of them, and the car hit the bus. The car also flipped, and Caleb was the only one dead, the others were injured.
I personaly think his mom deserves to go to jail. And the fact that she was not going to pay for a funeral, that was horrible too.
Anyways, I'm going to his funeral tomorrow. v.v''

Help me destroy the world! ... Pretty please?

I'm sorry for your loss.

Not too long ago, a good friend of mine also passed away by his own hand.

It'll get better over time, but don't forget your memories together.

God bless:

I am Caleb Hieatt Grandmother. I have felt out of place and now I see one person who agrees. Yes my daughter Jennifer is at fault and needs to be charged with the death of her son. There is NO excuse for this, it was Not an Accident. This did not have to happen. An accident is something that can't be avoided. Caleb was killed over a Piss on Ford Bumper Sticker!

That is seriously f'd up. I just done even know what to say. I would suggest to Caleb's Grandmother to talk to a lawyer I believe charges can be brought for negligent homocide.

I am not doing very well with this at all. I know what the girls that started this post is true. There was no dignaty or respect for Caleb even at his furneral. The least amount of money was spent and everyone went to a all you can eat buffet after. People came in tank tops, jeans, shorts and spoke about how they are staulking the man who was driving the white pick up truck. I was not there but have heard many different stories. Sounded like it was a Redneck Funeral at best including a pine box that held my Grandsons Body. I hear my daughter was yelling I COULDN'T Control The Car, I COULDN'T Control The Car! To me that is just another sign of guilt. I guess it's just another way of getting the attention that has always been so important. To hide behind religion is a shame.

To say GOD wanted him was to me is Sick. Someone wrote the following:

Dear Caleb:
GOD saw you were GETTING TIERD, and A CURE WAS NOT TO BE, So he put his arms around you and Whispered, COME TO ME.
With TEARFUL EYES WE WATCHED YOU, and SAW YOU PASS AWAY. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A Golden Heart stopped beating, HARD WORKING HANDS AT REST. God broke our hearts to prove to us HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST.

He was ONLY "15" not "90" .. Tierd OF "WHAT" ? Being with his friends? Going to School? Listening to music? Doing his art work? "WHAT?" .. THE CURE WAS NOT TO BE? .. Cure For "What" He Wasn't ill... With Tearful Eyes They Watched "WHAT?" He died on impact, he never had a Chance..Over a FORD SUCKS DECAL!

He didn't even have a proper Funeral .. If it was the money His Great Grandmother offered to pay All Of It. The answer to that was. Caleb is Claustrophobic, yet his body laid in a Freezer box for One week then in a Pine Box, then burnt to ashes.

What is it more important for the money to be spent on the Leagal Defense here?
I hear there is a request for money donations for leagal defence.

To me it's cut and dry.. Not an Accident. An accident is something that Can't be Avoided this was Initiated..Caleb was Killed.. Killed by The Hands and Stupidity of His Own Mother. My Daughter!

Six other children and my two Grandaughters (who may I say Did Not Have Minor Injures, Nor did My Son in Law who couldn't stop her.) Could have also been Killed.

Is it me or is there something Very Wrong Here?

Read News Paper Article Below:

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- State troopers believe road rage may have sparked a chain reaction crash that led to a child's death in Volusia County.

The three car crash had International Speedway Boulevard in DeLand shut down for hours Saturday.

Eyewitnesses say a Chevy Truck and a Red S-U-V started bumping into each other at a high speed. That's when the S-U-V flipped a few times, crossed the median, and then smashed into a mini-van.

Jon Paul Julian, was driving Chevy Truck and was not injured.

The S-U-V had a family of five inside. Fifteen year old, Caleb Hieatt died from his injuries. His mother and father, Jennifer and Carey Hieatt and two other children had to be cut out of the vehicle.

There were 6 foster children ranging from ages 6 to 10 in the mini-van who were all taken to area hospitals with minor injuries. Troopers say all of them were wearing their seatbelts.

The whole business is a dreadful affair. Caleb died too young. He died too suddenly. He died due to a careless action of his own mother who, by the sounds of it, cares much too little for her own son.
The right thing to do is probably to try the mother at court, but somebody has to pluck up the courage, the lawyer and the money for that to happen.

i have set here and simpthized with you for your lost and i am truely sorry for it but now is the time you do what is best for yourself (or do what u belive is right) life will go on and you must remeber the good times you had with Caleb. and i am pretty sure he wouldnt wont you to drowned yourself in tears, sadness, and anger to his mom. you may not agree with what she did you may not agree on anything with her but know this. God does not do things at random! He does everything to test our strength and our will to push on (no matter how hard). you will see your grandson someday as will all his friends but i am sure he wants all of you to be happy not killing yourselffrom the inside untill it shows on the outside

Caleb and everyone would have had a happy and his weired girl friend wouldnt be looking for someone to kill her, or maybe she would.Seems that she is into death and morbid things.I heared that she wanted to marry caleb's ashes n that she is throwing herself a bridal shower. That's so creepy.

Subject Up Date

Body: The accident occurred Sunday, October 14, 2006 about 1:50 p.m. on International Speedway Boulevard in DeLand when the drivers of an SUV and a pickup brushed together, sending the SUV across a median into oncoming traffic, troopers said.

Troopers said Jennifer Rose Hieatt, 34, was driving the SUV with her husband, Cary Hieatt, in the passenger's seat. Their son, Caled, 15, and two other children also were in the vehicle. Troopers said the SUV and a pickup driven by Jon Paul Julian, 35, of Orlando were racing in the eastbound lane and came together near the Kepler Road intersection.

The SUV crossed into the westbound lane and struck an oncoming van. The SUV rolled over, killing Caled Hieatt. The other two children in the SUV were airlifted to Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando and Halifax Medical Center. Their names and conditions were unavailable Sunday.

The parents and Julian suffered minor injuries, troopers said.

Bonita Weeks Culver of Daytona Beach and her six foster children were in the van, but suffered no major injuries.

Miller said troopers were continuing their investigation into that accident late Sunday.

"We're waiting to interview . . . there were numerous witnesses," Miller said. "Charges are pending. If it was a street race, then the driver of the white pickup and the mother of the child could be charged."

I would be ashamed to have you as my mother. To sit and accuse your own daughter when you wasnot in that vehicle and do not know the circumstances. Only hearsay. And to also judge how the funeral should have been and YOU WANT EVEN THERE. What kind of grandmother is that. I support my children no matter what. People in general need to learn to deal with things, to many cutters, druggies, alchy's and people that spend their entire lives hidden behind a computer screen in MMo's that do nothing but sob and be emo.

Hm? Seriously? Death is an extremely big change in one's life, you can't just 'get over it'. The intensity of mourning generally hinges on your closeness to the individual and how you deal with it is proportionate to your age. If people aren't allowed to properly mourn it undoubtedly affects them later in life. It's not contingent on voluntary responses, you can't just 'get over' something traumatic like it's nothing...

Of course, what's happening here isn't mourning. It's (was. This post is months old, why the hell was it dug up?) a place where one of the family (not gothic-kitty) decided to bring their problems on here in an attempt to get others to validate their feelings as well as the random ranting of a random person who decided to dig out an old thread in order to yell at a complete stranger for doing something they disagree with in a situation they can't begin to understand.

But then the internet is made for meddling, isn't it?

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

What I want to know is, if it's such a big deal, why is it being posted on the internet? Like talking to strangers they barely know makesany difference.

I have been able to deal with and cop with the deaths of two of my IMMEDIATE family members. One at a yound age, and one in my earlier teenage years. They should learn to deal with it, I have.

But everyone is different and deal with pain differently. It's worth noting that this only happened a few months ago, a few months is certainly not a sufficient grieving time for everyone.

Feel lucky, though, that you are able to deal with it. Not everyone is, and it impedes on the grieving process if the individual is forced to hide their feelings, lest they appear to be being overly emotional (this is stereotypically a male problem). Ultimately, everyone is different, just because you can do something doesn't mean everyone can. There's countless factors that affect how someone is going to grieve. Age, gender, religion, culture, relationship to the deceased, whether or not the person died suddenly or over time, etc...

What I want to know is, if it's such a big deal, why is it being posted on the internet? Like talking to strangers they barely know makes any difference.

Validation. The main subject here isn't mourning, but putting the blame on the mother who allegedly killed the child with negligence. They have an opinion (that it's the mother's fault, that she should be paying for the funeral etc...) that may be unpopular or not getting enough validation in their real life or they feel guilty over their opinion, however, unconscious that guilt is. By venturing onto the internet, they gain a whole new host of people who will validate their feelings (often because the story is told through their perspective) and they'll feel better about what they believe.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?
