OSX Leopard vs. Windows Vista Old Fri Aug 11, 2006 3:05:37 AM #20755 Perm Link
This guy talks about who came up with what first and who's bashing who.

http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/macosx_leopard_preview.asp

I'm tired of hearing this crap. At the end of the day, the better guy is the one who makes the better product. Microsoft is merely trying to catch up, but they still can't compete. They're only as big as they are because people are stupid, and beause Apple wants to horde OSX for its own products.

Ohh sure... then we would have Microsoft and ...? Sure Linux may have had more traction, but Apple really sticks it to Microsoft today.

I'm glad that Apple is around, even just for buying other products. It is sad that they don't have a larger market share (Over 10%).

Good stuff.

To tell the truth, I don't really like Mac/Apple. I mean, the OS X software is great, hell, I almost got one for that. With that in mind, Apple's hardware is probably the worst I've ever used. Once, I got an iBook. It broke, yeah, but too bad Apple wouldn't take that. Nope, they like to deny such things. I pretty much had to spend another few thousand just trying to make it with upgrade policies. The only thing I do like about Apple (aside from the OS X software) is a lot of the programs that come with it. The musical programs and such. A friend of mine had an Apple with this drum program that I just adored (mainly because I'm a drummer). Apple iPods, while popular, I have seen/had constant problems with. People always have problems with them, whether (like the nano) breaking in half, or just flat out not working/charging/turning on.

I'm sure you've all seen that. Haha, "Mac KILLED my inner child".

Oh, and I just love how, because hte person portraying the Mac is young, that automatically makes it cooler.

Lets face it, PCs and Mac both suck. Ohoh, but Mac looks cooler.

I find the Intel based Macs much better than the PowerPC. I also find that most people feel that the iPods are very sturdy and I know many people that use them.

This includes the nano and the video iPods as well as the older ones.

Let me edit this post on the first video... the Mac OS is the better of the the two operating systems in terms of the UI. And that is the period, truth about it.

Windows seems easier because you've learned it already.

According to this article, apple also has the highest consumer satisfaction. It's from CNET so I think it's a reliable source; Though I don't know where they got it from.

I don't agree with you at all. Apple hardware is really quality stuff. The newer Intel based stuff is even better.

It's all in opinion. Of course, as I said, the iBook and iPods are terrible things. Every one one of my friends or I have owned has broken, and that's even coming from friends of mine who do like Apple.

EVERY ONE? Broke?

Sounds like either you and your friends got a bad batch of iBooks and iPods or you all somewhat mis-use or abuse your equipment. If there was such a HUGE problem where EVERYONE's was breaking, don't you think there would be some sort of recall.

Sounds a little fishy to me. JUST MY OPINION by the way, based on reading this entire topic.

That's nearly statistically impossible.

Wow. Your power in your area must be really crap. What actually did break on them?
