The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy it was good. it wasn't as good as i thought it would be tho on a scale of 1 to 10(10 being the best) i would say a 6 or mabe a 7 the best part was the robot in it.( or thats what i think anyway.)

If it isn't filled to the brim with awkward dialogue and wooden acting, i'm not interested.

actually, this movie looks cool. getting mixed reviews, though. Hey, at least it's a SCIFI movie...

I also heard mixed reviews on the movie and no, I haven't seen it. I do plan on seeing it soon and I hear that the studio might be looking to do the entire Trilogy (total of 5 movies Wink). The effects look great.

I guess by your remark that you fail to realize that the 'Trilogy' in Hitchhiker's was actually 5 parts. Do some research.

Also notice the "Wink".

But that would be too much work and would vanquish the illusion-world that he lives in and ultimately cause his askewed psyche to shatter into a thousand pieces (which might be fun to watch anyway Wink ). Getting back on subject though, I saw the movie and it wasn't nearly as good as the books (but what movie is?). Still, I found it to somewhat enjoyable. It passed the time of day anyway...

The narrator's odd train of thought is actually very true to the books. It was funny, but it wasn't too special. They really changed the order of events. I believe there were three books. Or maybe four. The Resturaunt at the End of the Universe was the second book and So Long and Thanks for All the Fish was the last.

false. although it was true once.

the hitch-hiker's guide to the galaxy is a trilogy in four part.
part 1: The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
part 2: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
part 3: Life, the Universe and Everything
pert 4: So Long, and Thinks for All the Fish.

there is also "Mostly Harmless", which is known as the "fifth part of the trilogy in four parts.", so it belongs to the trilogy. I believe it is left out because it was written a lot later (i think) and maybe because "fith part ...four parts" is too quier,

Someone told me it wasn't that good. They said it was alright, but not extraordinary. If I had to choose, though, I'd read the book. The whole series was wonderful. Then again, I hate reading, and I'd probably want to watch the movie.

So, I've finally seen it.

I must say that it was extremely silly and did deviate from the books, which in turn had deviated from the radio programme, which had deviated from common sense.

All in all, it was enjoyable and captured the spirit nicely.

Hi again after ages,

I've seen half of this movie, but I can't remember where I left the DivX file ... ;-)

I thought it was atrocious - they seriously had half-jokes in the script: where half of a joke was cut due to movie-length considerations, but the other half was left in and stuck out as meaningless drivel dialogue ... if I could find my DivX, I'd re-watch it and cite specifics.

However, Douglas Adams was involved in plot modifications. So it could be considered "official". I'd love to see the BBC re-make this as a mini-series (they made the original TV version in the 1980s and the true original radio version in the 1970s). But with Hitch-Hikers now a world famous franchise, the BBC would likely not be able to afford to purchase rights.

Really? I thought that was an affliction reserved for syndicated TV shows. I hate it when they chop things up - they ought to remove the joke entirely or keep it in, otherwise it makes no sense.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I've seen this movie. Saw it last week, actually. I liked it a lot. I was laughing throughout almost the whole thing. I also want to read the books.
I really like Marvin. He was awesome.

I thought the movie was garbage. It was poorly done and not funny except for the one part where the things whacked the people in the face.
