WebMarks: Beta

The new WebMark section at ASEville is now in beta. »http://www.aseville.com/webmarks.php

This section will take the place of the RSS Reader, but the reader will stay active for a bit because I use it Smile

WebMarks are you personal bookmarks on the internet. Just add a URL and feel free to tag it with words to help you find what you want. You'll be able to search for the tagged words from others as well.

I will be adding FAQ entries sooner or later (later) for everything on all the sites... You'll notice some 'What?' links in a few areas... Maybe... Not sure...

As for the WebMarks section, it is awesome. Give it a try. Remember, you can store all your bookmarks there accessable from any computer!

I just added some of your links. This section is pretty useful. I know of some people with tons of bookmarks and searching by tag would be nice.

You need to add a tag search box.

It is a nice concept. It seems to me that they are like bookmarks that are stored online so you get get them from anywhere. The new thing is adding a 'tag' to a link to create groups of links or tagged links or something like that.

I added Slashdot and added 'news' to it, since it is a news source.

SHCase has it correct. WebMarks are your personal bookmarks in one place, from any computer. You can assign tags to each link that aids you in finding specific things you want to find, fast. For instance, I have Slashdot tagged as News and New Scientist tagged as News as well. When I search for tag 'news' I'll get both.

I have also added the tag search box. Enjoy.
