Dislike Goths

I had a crush on a Goth-girl once. She was pale as vampire (expected), her hands were cold as ice, and she liked eating bloody raw meat and writing about vampires in first-person. Strange thing is she also like country as well as metal (the music). She was from Texas though. I've already talked about this, haven't I?

I have been called "goth"...and I don't know why...I'm not always depressed...my whole clothing thing: I don't wear just black...I wear a bright red/pink skirt over black pants and at the least, 3 belts daily...I mostly just find clothes on my floor in the morning, if it smells good, i'll wear it...but, I am pale b/c I am mostly inside my house playing video games, watching movies, and shit...and I hang out at night b/c that's when my friends get off of work...but, on the part about horror movies: I think they are funny...everytime I go to the theatre to watch them, I am literally the only one laughing.
On the music part: I mostly listen to 80's pop (DEVO, B-52's, Blondie, Cars, Gary Numan, Men w/out Hats...shit like that)...then a whole lot of other shit like Aquabats, Offspring, MSI...

Because you look like a fashion goth.

And you look like you can listen to faggoth music.

It's just an appearance thing. You don't have to really be depressed to be called a Goth in today's society. You don't even have to be European.

In my experience, most goths I've met aren't Europeon. Even though, according to definition, they should be.

The thing is, I'm not into fashion...I put on whatever smells good...

It doesn't matter what <i>you're</i> into.
What you <b>look</b> like is all the public needs to make an assumption or judgement about you.

You can make the argument that you're not into fashion a thousand times and it wouldn't matter. Until you change what you look like, that's what people are going to think about you.

So my advice, that you probably already use, is not to worry about it.

Yeah, I allready use that advice...I just didn't really see why I'd be called that...but if it's because of what you said, I came to the conclusion that in the subject of being judgemental, people are simple minded.

Of course, when I said that one of my friends was a Goth, I meant that they were the sole descendant of the almost linear bloodline of one of the Barbarian tribes that, together, sealed the fate of the Roman empire, and due to the power imbalance that pursued, was historically reduced into non-existence.
The blood is incredibly watered down as of today, and the Goths will never regain the comparatively proud, grandiose status which they once held.

I've noticed that a lot of people have disappeared from this site. I guess it's easy to get side tracked. I've been gone for long periods of time, and then randomly coming back. I hope to be around more...

I know this is way old, but I actually know a whole group of goth people that not only do the whole dress in black thing, they get together with other goth people to play thing thing called LARP. Basically they role-play their lives as vampires pretending to do vampire things. It's taken goth and geek into the same class and it's quite sad.
