Sports Make You Mobile: DOSB German Sport ID Cooperates With Yapital
LUXEMBOURG, September 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
German Sport ID "Deutscher Sportausweis" chooses Yapital, Europe's first cross-channel
payment solution, as mobile payment solution for club sportsÂ
Yapital conquers German club sports: First cross-channel payment solution to be
established nationwide for mobile payments in German sports. Yapital has just concluded a
cooperation agreement with the "Deutscher Sportausweis" (German Sport ID), the official
initiative of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), national sports associations
and organizations that support club sports.
The agreement's medium-term goal is to enable clubs and associations around the
country to accept Yapital payments. At the same time, club members will be made aware of
the new possibility to pay by smartphone. In a first step, clubs with especially high
memberships in North Rhine-Westphalia will be connected. Later, additional clubs
throughout Germany will be able to use the benefits of the Yapital solution.
The advantages for sports clubs and associations are evident: The risks of cash
payments, which are labour intensive and often lead to ambiguous accounting statements,
are eliminated entirely - whether at the club house, in gastronomy, in the sale of tickets
and tokens or in the settlement of fees. In addition, the problem of stolen cash can be
reduced substantially. With Yapital, all transactions are secure and occur in real-time,
and there are no setup costs or monthly fees for clubs and associations. The integration
of Yapital is also very simple thanks to the Yapital Business App. The club athletes not
only benefit from the free-of-charge, fast, easy and secure use of cross-channel payment
at the club house and at local partners of the club. They can also use the "send money"
feature to easily and quickly transfer money to family members, sports fellows and
friends.
Stephan Penz, Managing Director of the Deutsche Sportausweis GmbH: "Yapital is the
ideal payment solution for sport clubs. Sports are mobile: Most athletes always have their
smartphones with them, not just for communication, but also for using sports apps that
measure time, pulse and distance. However, since a wallet is inconvenient, the decision to
offer our associations, clubs and their members a modern and innovative payment process
was a logical one. The Yapital solution is pioneering and fulfils the highest privacy
standards. We are also convinced that Yapital will bring true added value to club
management."
Niels Lohmueller, Commercial Director at Yapital: "If you live mobile, you also want
to pay mobile. Yapital is a perfect match for that, as it can be used not only at the
clubs, but as an open system also in point-of-sales and online retail. We are therefore
delighted about this cooperation."
