Free Electronics BlueBook Proves Your Gadgets Have More to Give
World's largest database of used electronics reports fair market value and promotes sustainability
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sage Sustainable Electronics has released a free beta version of the Sage BlueBook® (SageBlueBook.com), the world's largest source of pricing information for used computing devices. Cataloging millions of models from thousands of manufacturers, Sage BlueBook reports both wholesale and retail values based on device condition.
The BlueBook was developed to support Sage's mission promoting reuse over electronics recycling, said Sage CEO Robert Houghton.
"Reuse is almost always the better financial choice, and extending the life of gadgets is always better for the environment," said Houghton. "We want everyone to use Sage BlueBook to ensure they're getting a fair deal when they upgrade."
To help consumers and businesses resell with confidence, Sage BlueBook includes informational pages about data erasure, and how to buy, sell, donate, and recycle used technology. Searching Sage BlueBook for items one at a time is always free to guest users. Registered users are able to search free for up to 10 items simultaneously, save their searches for re-appraisal at a later date, and print certified appraisals.
A Pro version will be offered which allows large equipment lists to be automatically appraised. Sage BlueBook Pro users will also be able to run future value forecasts, and will have access to secondary market indexes for major categories of computing hardware.
