Falcon 1 blows up.

The company aims to develop cheaper rockets. Falcon 1 would cut the costs of space travel by having a reusable first stage - its launch cost $6.7 million, less that a quarter of the price of comparably sized rockets. The company says its sister rocket Falcon 9 - which has nine engines to Falcon 1’s one - could eventually carry crew or cargo to the International Space Station.


Microsoft switches execs after Vista slip.
