The world's largest and most ambitious comet mission, Rosetta, will miss its January take-off window and could be postponed for up to two-and-a-half years. The European Space Agency (ESA) hoped that the 1-billion-euro (US$1-billion) mission would land a probe on the comet Wirtanen in 2010.
